Our Current Account is a transactional bank account that allows you to deposit and withdraw funds, make payments, and manage your finances efficiently, securely, and in multiple currencies.
At Kuwait Finance House PLC, you will benefit from the personal attention of a dedicated and qualified Relationship Manager from our Premium or Private Banking teams. Clients qualify for either Premium or Private banking based on the criteria listed below.

*You must first open a GBP account to obtain an account in other currencies

• You must be 18 years old or above
• We serve clients who reside in the Gulf Cooperation Council regions and most Middle East & North Africa countries, or clients who reside outside these regions and have an association with these regions, such as a business or source of wealth
• To be eligible for Premium Banking, a minimum deposit of $100,000 or a minimum loan of £250,000 must be held with Kuwait Finance House PLC
• To be eligible for Private Banking, a minimum of $1,000,000 or currency equivalent must be held with Kuwait Finance House PLC

• Digital Banking Access: Our online banking platform and mobile app can be accessed 24/7, enabling you to manage your finances anytime, anywhere with ease and security.
• Around-the-Clock Fraud Hotline: With our 24/7 fraud hotline, you can rest assured that assistance is always available to you, safeguarding your financial assets against fraudulent activities.
• Safety Deposit Boxes: For the safekeeping of valuable items and documents, you can request the use of our safety deposit boxes, ensuring your peace of mind with our secure facilities (subject to additional charging and supplementary agreement).
• Residential Property Payment Service: We provide a specialised Residential Property Payment Service to streamline your real estate transactions, available upon request (subject to additional charging and supplementary agreement).
• Access to other Kuwait Finance House PLC products: Through our Current Account product, you gain access to the full suite of products offered by Kuwait Finance House PLC, including fixed-term and call deposits.

Protecting your money
Your eligible deposits held by a UK establishment of Kuwait Finance House PLC are protected up to a total of £85,000
by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, the UK’s deposit guarantee scheme.
Any deposits you hold above the limit are unlikely to be covered.

How to apply
To apply for a Current Account, you will need:
• A Passport and a National Identification Card
• Proof of permanent residential address
• Copies of recent bank statements may be required
• In some instances, further documentation may be required
